Time is flying! It’s been over a month since our last update. Blue’s incision has finally closed, and we’re no longer going through 400-600 gauze pads a day! While there’s still some swelling at the surgical site and along the left side of his neck (where the hematoma was), it has remained stable for several weeks—no significant increase or decrease. Some days, it looks more pronounced, which makes us a little nervous, but we’re hopeful it’s just fluid from activity.
A second review of the biopsy from Michigan State University confirmed stage 2 soft tissue sarcoma. It was expected to grow back twice as fast as the first time (which took three months), but tomorrow marks two months post-surgery, and so far, there’s been no rapid regrowth—a relief in itself.
Most of you may know that cancer cannot survive without sugar—and carbs are sugar. Rice, pasta, bread, cakes, and even many plants turn into sugar in the body, which is why avoiding them makes sense before disease ever starts. Blue has been on a strict red meat diet, just like me, consuming 2-3 lbs a day. Fatty red meat is the single most nutrient-dense food known to man, providing everything the body needs to heal, thrive, and fight disease. So far, so good!
We continue to stay optimistic and appreciate all the support! 💙
